BILL REID
- In honour of the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth, this is a premium version of the 2020 $2 commemorative circulation coin that puts the iconic art of Bill Reid (1920-1998) into your pockets and in the palm of your hand.
- The artwork featured on the coin originally appeared on a ceremonial drum, one of several designed by Bill Reid in 1988. The grizzly bear was adapted for reproduction as a silkscreen print, with copies sold to raise money for Artists for Kids. As for the original drum, it is part of the Artists for Kids permanent collection.
- Supremely crafted in 99.99% pure gold: A complex combination of different coin finishes adds depth to the meticulously sculpted design and transforms it into a numismatic work of art.
