The Caribou
As digital artists seek to recreate the physical world through dimensional images, the geometricbased modelling techniques of the 1990s have given way to a new visual style: that of low poly art. Utilizing this colourful art style, the incomparable Geometry In Art series continues its contemporary interpretation of Canada’s most famous icons with a fine silver coin that celebrates the caribou (Rangifer tarandus).
This coin is the third issue of the Geometry in Art collection.
The first coin of the series, released in November 2015, depicts the Loon.
The second coin of the series, released in January2016, depicts the Polar Bear.
The third coin of the series, released in March 2016, depicts the Caribou.
The fourth coin of the series, released in May 2016, depicts the Beaver.
The fifth and the last coin of the series, released in July 2016, depicts the Mapleleaf.
