Selectively plated in platinum, they deliver an eye-catching contrast to the gold maple leaf-shaped coin. The $200 face value, double date (1988-2018) and 30 YEARS/ANS appear on reverse with a background pattern of subtle maple leaves that shimmer in the light, while The Queen’s 1988 effigy appears on the obverse against finely engraved details that bring added dimension and texture to the sculpted, three-dimensional leaf.
