Star TrekTM : Captain Kirk
The reversedesign features a side-by-side depiction of the beloved Star Trek captain and the ship that is forever associated with him. On the left side is the coloured image of Captain James T. Kirk (portrayed by Canadian actor William Shatner) in a gold-coloured uniform as he commands thecrew from his chair on the bridge. To the right, the U.S.S. Enterprise is painstakingly recreated in extraordinary detail, thanks to intricate engraving along its saucer-shaped hull and twin warp nacelles. Thetwo elements casually overlap the outline of Starfleet’s Delta Shield Insignia engraved in the background.
This coin is the first issue of the Star Trek(TM) collection.
The first coin of the series, released in May 2016, depicts Captain Kirk.
The second coin of the series, released in July 2016, depicts Scotty.
The third coin of the series, released in August 2016, depicts Uhura.
The fourth and the last coin of the series, released in September 2016, depicts Spock.
