Description
In this highly-anticipated new action manga, a young boy is framed for murder and cast off the edge of a floating city into the abyss, where he grapples with the monsters that the elite high above would rather forget. The more the rich glitter, the higher the price paid by the poor…
With a premise that recalls Battle Angel Alita and kinetic battles reminiscent of Attack on Titan, Gachiakuta is a must-read for fans of dark, dystopian fantasies like Deadman Wonderland!
After being falsely accused of murdering the man who raised him, Rudo was dropped into the Pit, where horrible monsters called trash beasts roam and the very air is toxic. But there are people known as Givers who have the power to defeat these beasts and Rudo is one of them. If Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering a way back to his home and finding the true killer, he must first navigate this new world. The first step is joining an organization of trash beast exterminators called “The Cleaners,” whose boss might just have information Rudo needs…

I like the power system so far | |
After a dark introduction, the art of this manga now looks like a proper action manga. And the manga alone can't show me how cool this fight is. Like I want to see Riyo cutting down a horde of monsters with her giant scissors animated. I also like how powers are not limited to just physical weapons, with a new enemy showing off magic powers near the end of the volume. |
