Death! In! Spaaaaace...
Although not immediately obvious, this is a Mork Borg-like (MB) compatible game, which for me is akin to true gaming Love! Think of scifi movies like Outland, FireFly, Soldier or Aliens (without the Aliens - get Mothership for that). Not as dark as the rest of the MB line, but it has that dripping grunge, cyber-punk, scarcity, end of the Verse and Void element, which would also easily allow cross with a range of other MB or old school rules and settings, and I can think of a few rules on my shelf that could use this as an engine cross hack. I love the simplicity and elegance of the rules for player creation and the hub (ship or module) that the player's start with. I already have one hack to throw in without ever even running or playing it. You could even distill it for doing table top scifi skirmishes, either between beings (boarding actions) or ship-to-ship combat, but I think oh so deadly in all cases... The game has a enough starter flavour and detail to easily carry you past the introductory adventure and there is no lack of small or large third party supplements freely available, or for pay, to flesh out something longer term like a campaign, if this is the sort of thing you and your players crave? Likewise, it would not be hard to strip themes, elements and backdrops from tons of other scifi table top games. |

A survival horror RPG that's big on the survival part
If you like the idea of an RPG based on eking out a meagre existence in a largely abandoned solar system, where any mistake could mean death, with a (not so small) dash of cosmic body horror to accompany the ever-present sense of dread - you owe it to yourself to pick this one up! It's a great rules-light OSR system and a lot of fun, especially if you enjoy more sandbox-y games. Highly recommended! |

The last copy! | |
I had this on my wish list since I've heard of it and found the last peint copy in the store! Already a fan of Stockholm Kartel's CY_BORG, this book is as much an art coffe table book as itvis a game guide. |

Grim Dark space. No Spacemarine

Death in space | |
