| Simpler than wingspan | |
| It's easy to see the wingspan inspiration in the design of this game, yet it is different enough to justify its existence. Replacing the 5 resources with eggs/cards/youngs streamlines the gameplay nicely, but also removes some of the strategic depth. | |

| Great Theme, Great Game, Great Aesthetics, Just GREAT | |
| The title of our review says it all: This game is great. We found it to be easier than Wingspan, but improves on a couple of pain points we had. For example, this game allows us to have easier access to resources without the need for luck (Sometimes the dice don't work AT ALL with your hand our even the available cards in Wingspan). Also, the engine does not take as long to build up. Finspan is an easier teach than Wingspan, but borrows a lot of the good that Wingspan utilizes. If you are wondering if you need both: No, but they are different enough to not be the same game and worth at least to give both a try |

| The Action starts right away | |
| I love Wingspan, so when I saw Finspan, I couldn't help but pick up a copy immediately. While both games share a similar style board and cards, the way the action (activated powers) happen are quicker with Finspan due to the pre-printed fish on your player board. Food collection is streamlined. The eggs, young fish and schools you use to bring out new fish are all worth points. Playing fish can generate more resources in a nice cyclical manner, whether it's picking up new fish, playing/hatching eggs or moving young fish to create schools. This game is easier to teach and quicker for new players to grasp. Finspan has become a favourite in my house - we've played it more often than Wingspan in the past two months - and I've owned Wingspan for a few years! |

| A great game, and fantastic addition to the wingspan family of games. Fans of wingspan should pick it up quickly, but finspan is a wonderful unique experience, with fun and engaging twists. It allows you to play relaxed and casual, or if you wish to adopt a more competitive style. Definitely recommend. | |

| J’étais déjà une fan de wingspan et wyrmspan alors il me fallait celui-là . J’aime que celui ait une mécanique différente des deux autres. Je préfère encore Wingspan mais si vous préférez les poissons celui-là est pour vous. | |
